My Last Reflection


Assalammualaikum and Salam 1 Malaysia...

This is my last reflection about the course. I think this course have teach me a lot of things. I like to enjoy what I have done. Although I am a little bit late to do some part of the assignments, now I feel that I am full of satisfaction. I am kind of person that not really like to use some technology that sometimes are too advanced. Before this, I do not know more about ICT and sometimes I am little bit lost during the lecture.  In addition, the class is done in the late afternoon. However, with some approached during the lecture and with my  family and friend's support, my eyes are opened to see the field of technology in front of my own eyes. 




Reflection on Copyright Act





Assalammualaikum and Salam 1 Malaysia...

Through the lesson about copyright, I can know the content of the Copyright Act of 1976.
The 1976 revision granted five (5) exclusive rights to copyright holders: 
First, the right to reproduce (copy).
Second, the right to create derivative works from the original.
Third, the right to commercialize the work, 
Fourth, the right to perform the work publicly (if relevant), and 
fifth, the right to display the work publicly (if relevant). 

In 1995 the right to perform a sound recording by means of digital audio was added.

From the lesson also I have learned about End User License Agreement (EULA). It is the contract between the licenser and purchaser, establishing the purchaser's right to use the software.



Reflection on Modelling and Simulation

         In the lecture, we have learned about modelling and simulation. Simulation of a system is the operation of a model which is representation of that systemAccording to Shannon, model is a representation of an object, a system, or an idea in some form other than that of the entity itself. A system exists and operates in time and space. We ca use the STELLA software from the ISEE system to model dynamic systems that having many components with involved relationships.

         I can connect the relationship between simulation and student's participation, prediction and motivation. Student participation give the effect to the student motivation. Student can explore what they want through the simulation. Through deep learning in simulation, prediction about the model can be done early and this enhance student motivation surely.





Reflection on Interactive Whiteboard

           Interactive whiteboard is a large physical display panel that can function as an ordinary whiteboard, a projector screen, an electronic copy board or as a copy projector screen on which the computer image can be controlled by touching or writing on the surface of the panel instead of using a mouse or keyboard. 

        Although the lesson about interactive whiteboard is not teach in the class, from my observation in Chemistry Lab and from my research, interactive whiteboard make a teachers can enhance their presentation content by easily integrating a wide range of material into a lesson, such as a picture from the internet, a graph from a spreadsheet or text from a Microsoft Word file.

            Interactive whiteboard actually also give disadvantage. In Malaysia, interactive whiteboard are rarely found because they are more expensive than the conventional whiteboards or projector and screen combinations. So, in teaching and learning for science especially, interactive whiteboard can be used one day when all technology are not rarely obtained in schools.




Reflection on Portfolio




Assalammualaikum and Salam 1 Malaysia...

In the lecture, we have learned about how to do an e-portfolio. We know that in the future, we will use all the knowledge on how to do the e-portfolio for teaching and learning purpose. From the lecture, what I know about portfolio is the goal driven, content and evidence, all of them is put together in one portfolio. While in teaching portfolio, it demonstrates the professional competence of a teacher. Material with teaching and curricular unit is put in one teaching portfolio. The possible artifacts like educational artifact, student work, professional information and personal information also are put in the portfolio. Other than that, teaching philosophy and reflection also are put in the same place. 

After the lesson, we got one assignment about e-portfolio and it must be done in the computer and must be put in the blog. Although it was difficult at the first time, then I thought this kind of assignment teach me to use ICT in education. I feel happy because I have learned many things in order to complete these assignment. 

My Teaching Philosophy

           The responsibility to become a teacher is not very easy actually. Usually we see the responsibility of our teacher during our primary and secondary schools ago were very easy like a nut. When I become the student at that time, I felt like it is something that give a burden to me as a student. But now, as a teacher in the future, the feeling as a teacher start to nurture a little bit in my heart although at first I have no interest in teaching. 

         My philosophy of teaching statement is "teaching my student with all my heart and my students will understand and can applied what they learn from the lesson in their lives, not regret with what subject or course they choose in their school world."

          Teaching my students with all my heart means all the knowledge that I know, I will give it to all my student so that they know the knowledge is for sharing because all of it is given by Him. 

           My student will understand and can applied what they learn from the lesson in their lives means in any styles of teaching and learning that I will applied in school, I hope my student will understand the way I am teaching, which the lesson from their understanding will be used and applied in their complicated lives. While their courage make me got all the experiences.

         Not regret with what subject or course they choose in their school world. Sometimes we do not like what the things that we should choose. That situation is happen to me during my early adolescence. However, that is a long story, I must carry on my live and now I enjoy my life. Back to no regret, my students should enjoy to study and not to stress a lot to think about exam because it will gives an effect to their studies. Just enjoy live and do not regret what you have choose at the moment.  

Reflection on Smart School




Assalammualaikum and Salam 1 Malaysia...

After the lecture about Smart School, I know more about Smart Schools. The technology in Smart School is to enhance teaching and learning. Start from 1996, Malaysia identified ICT as key foundation and later lead to Smart School initiatives. The objectives are to build critical thinking of students, gives chance to improve soft skills, democratize education and so on.

Actually there are many facilities in Smart Schools such as School Resources Centre, Computer Lab, classrooms and School Access Centre. School Resources Centre for example are equipped with internet access and info search.

After I studied and learned about Smart School, then I know our government did much to make sure our new generation can explore ICT and facilities in Smart Schools and the new generation can use it for their future in education field. 

We also have been given with the assignment about Smart School in essay and in presentation form. Alhamdulillah, all is done by us.
